Created in 1979 to provide management for a small group of companies touring in the United States and abroad, RSA specializes in developing and managing touring activity for major dance and theater companies. Along with the current roster, RSA has worked with Trisha Brown, Garth Fagan Dance, STREB, Royal Winnipeg Ballet, and Ballet Hispanico, among many other companies. 

RSA President Rena Shagan won the Association of Performing Arts Professionals highest award, the Fan Taylor Prize for Exemplary Service to the Field of Professional Presenting in 2020. She received Dance/USA’s Trustees Award for outstanding work on behalf of the field of dance in 2008 for her role as the founder of the organization. Her work in the field has included serving on the boards of the International Society Of Performing Arts, Western Arts Alliance, NAPAMA, Dance/USA and the American Arts Alliance as well as serving as a grant panelist for the National Endowment for the Arts, and both regional and state arts agencies. She is also the author of Booking and Touring Management , the “bible” among professionals in the field used by arts professionals all over the world.
